Located in a corner of a large redevelopment area in Osaki, where Sony has their global HQ, the cafe merged with a community house for neighbors. Community houses in Japan usually come with poor interior, an office-like atmosphere since nobody cares.
By bringing the PFI(Private Finance Initiative) scheme to this space, the budget issue has gone and the area got a nice and calm hub in central.
The food is delicious and the space is comfortable. Even for events such as a bazaar in the neighborhood or a little workshop, this place is beyond expectation. These elements were the main goal for branding this place.
The logo is the shape of a place. The name, “ours” means “our place”. The logo and textile which is the key to the graphic was made with designers and printers from the Egg Press, a letterpress company in Portland, Oregon, USA.
